What can you do with FileCase (Download this in PDF)
FileCase manages in a convenient way all your device's files and media contents. It helps share your content with other users, by employing Domain sharing, which lets you compress the files of your choosing from your device for backup reasons or to easily deploy them to another device. You can also protect your extra valuable data, by setting a password and encrypting it.
After start FileCase presents the main application panel allowing access to all functions.
To manage FileCase you may use your phone's keyboard and navigation keys, or the touch screen. On some phone models you may use alternatively the digit keys to navigate ( 2->up, 6->right, 8->down, 4->left, 5->OK ).
Adding new files
To add files to FileCase, select the Items tree panel. This panel lets you navigate through your items structure, add, change and delete your items.
By applying the navigation keys of your phone, you navigate through the tree and select items. To view any selected item in the tree, select View option from the menu.
To add new sibling item to selected item, select New sibling option from the menu.
To add new child ( subordinated ) item to selected item, select New child option from the menu.
After selecting New sibling or New child you may view the list of predefined item patterns. You may select one by using navigation keys ( arrow up and down ). After having selected one item pattern you view its structure by selecting View option from the menu, or use to create new item by selecting Select menu option. Than you can enter your data in record fields and save new entry by selecting Save. Thereafter you will see your new record. You may either return to the tree panel by selecting Back or change the new item once again by selecting Edit.
The tree panel menu options Move up and Move down let you reorganize items in the tree.
All files in FileCase fall under a Shared Domain. To create a domain, select the New sibling option from the menu and select Shared Domain. Name your domain and pick the Save option from the menu.
To build up a structure of your items, you may add some Folder items to your domain and name them properly.

The Folder items are the only items which are not managed by both the Favorites and Recently used lists.

Data backup, restore and exchange with a PC
FileCase lets you backup and share your files by letting you compress any of your Shared Domains. To do this, highlight a Shared Domain in the tree panel and choose Zip Domain or Encrypt Zip Domain form the menu. You will be presented with a file selection tree, in which you can specify where you want to place the compressed domain. Select a folder and the domain will be compressed and saved there with the specified name. If you selected the Encrypt Zip Domain you will be asked for a password upon creation, and you will need this password to open the encrypted domain at a later time.
After the domain is saved, you can copy it to a PC like any other file.
To restore your Shared Domain, select a domain and pick the Unzip Domain or Decrypt Unzip Domain option from the menu, and select the archive to be unzipped.
