MemoCase PC: installation on personal computer with Linux operating system

MemoCase is an application for mobile phones and personal computers managing notes, memos, ideas, tasks in highly efficient and user friendly way.

MemoCase is developed in programming language Java.

MemoCase installation pack for PC with Linux installed  consists of 1 installation file:

• run file ( memocase.run ) - containing the complete application installation.

Installation procedure of MemoCase PC

First of all please download the installation file MemoCase.run. This file is quite big ( ca. 62 MB ) and its download can take a while. To start the installation procedure double click on the saved MemoCase.run file and chose "run in terminal".

In a terminal window ( command shell ) run the installation file by simply calling it like that:

./memocase.run

After being started, the installation procedure is straightforward. The installer may ask you to specify the version 32 or 64 bit. A new MemoCase PC desktop icon is placed on your desktop.

To start MemoCase PC select double click on the MemoCase PC desktop icon.

While starting first time, MemoCase may ask you to define and confirm your access login name and your password. Please remember this password for later use !

Installation of new versions and updates of MemoCase

The installed MemoCase PC contains code taking care of checking for new updates. If you allow this mechanism, MemoCase PC will look each 14 days for new updates. If a new version update is available, you are asked to decide, whether the new update should be installed.

While updating MemoCase please select the option to preserve your current data, otherwise it will be deleted by your device installation program !
