What can you do with SafeCase                                         PDF

SafeCase manages in a secure way your sensitive personal data like credit card numbers, PINs, TANs, bank account access data, web site logins, passwords, transactions codes, and other sensitive information.

For your convenience we have predefined a set of standard data records holding all required sensitive informations. Each record also contains a note field, which may hold your additional free information.

After having started SafeCase first time you are asked to define and confirm your access password, which may remain the only password you need to remember. All other sensitive data are securely managed by SafeCase. This password should be at least 3 characters long and consist of non-trivial combination of characters, but we advise you to use even longer password: at least 4 characters.

Thereafter SafeCase presents the main application panel allowing access to all functions.

To manage SafeCase you may use your phone's keyboard and navigation keys. On some phone models you may use alternatively the digit keys to navigate ( 2->up, 6->right, 8->down, 4->left, 5->OK ).

Adding new records

To add new items and records, select the Items tree panel.This panel let's you navigate through your items structure, add, change and delete your items.

By applying the navigation keys of your phone, you navigate through the tree and select items. To view any selected item in the tree, select View option from the menu.

To add new sibling item to selected item, select New sibling option from the menu.

To add new child ( subordinated ) item to selected item, select New child option from the menu.

After selecting New sibling or New child you may view the list of predefined item patterns. You may select one by using navigation keys ( arrow up and down ). After having selected one item pattern you view its structure by selecting View option from the menu, or use to create new item by selecting Select menu option. Than you can enter your data in record fields and save new entry by selecting Save. Thereafter you will see your new record. You may either return to the tree panel by selecting Back or change the new item once again by selecting Edit.

The tree panel menu options Move up and Move down let you reorganize items in the tree.

To build up a structure of your items, you may add some Folder items and name them properly. In fact, to each item you can add some child ( subordinated ) items.

You can also add another Folders as subitems thus making tree structure of your archive.

To add image or photo item ( like TAN list, Image ) to your archive, please go to the image field, and take picture by selecting the Picture menu command.

After having saved the new item containing image field, you can also view the details of the image by navigating to the image field in the view mode and selecting View image menu option. In the view image panel you may zoom and move your image view by activating it from the menu and using navigation keys to enlarge / reduce image size or move its view within the viewport.

Your image view settings are stored individuallly for each image field, so that you will find the same image zoom factor and position within the viewport next time you open this image. in the view image panel.

Searching records

To find specific item located anywhere in your archive, select the Search panel, enter your item's name and contents, specify additional search parameters and let the program find the items.

Please consider setting additional search parameters:

-ignore case -> while matching, should the character's case be ignored ?

-text search mode -> whether you are looking for whole words or your searched text is a part ( contains ) of a target text attribute or the attribute itself

-fields match -> should all the entered fields match ( all ), or match of any of the field's selects the searched item

Favorites and Recently used

Favorites and Recently used lists support convenient and straight access to most interesting and valuable entries of your archive.

You can individually select your items to be enlisted in Favorites list, the program automatically records your item views and manages the Recently used list.

The Folder items are the only items which are not managed by both the Favorites and Recently used lists.

Storing and viewing images

SafeCase supports also storage and zoomed display of images and pictures ( see Image and TAN List record definitions ). Before using this functionality, you may permit SafeCase access to multimedia functionality of your phone device by using the Application Manager of your phone device.

All your image entries are stored and managed in secure way by SafeCase. While being stored they are encrypted by using strong cryptographic algorithms.

While zooming and positioning your current view of selected image, SafeCase stores your settings, so that viewing next time you will find easily previously selected transaction codes or any other data.


In day-to-day usage SafeCase requires no maintainance or adjustment. However, there are several parameters which may be of user's interest to get adjusted.

To change program's setting and option, go to the Settings panel. Here you can see your device's configuration parameters and specify some program's options:

-inactivity lock timeout -> specifies time of inactivity causing automatic lock

-language -> selects the program's language and set of predefined item templates

-installation date -> displays date of SafeCase installation

To edit those parameters, enter Edit mode.

To change your current password, select Change password..

To see more device settings, select Device settings.

The more advanced version SafeCase Plus supports also backup ( Backup archive option ) and recovery

( Restore archive option ) of data archives.

The last option in this menu is Delete archive option. This option lets you delete all your SafeCase data. This operation is secured by asking the user for the password.

Safety of your data

The data managed by SafeCase are encrypted by advanced encryption algorithms, which makes

cracking them extremely hard. The access is secured by your individual password, which is the single password you may remember for the future.

The SafeCase's access password must be at least 3 characters long, but we advise you to use at least 4 or even 5 characters, combined in non trivial way.

Remember: The program allows maximum 10 failure login attempts and therafter it automatically DELETES your data archive on your device.

SafeCase automatically locks itself after several minutes of inactivity ( you can change this timeout in Settings panel ).

You can also instantly lock SafeCase by selecting the Lock now option in the main application panel.

Data backup, restore and exchange with the PC companion

The more advanced SafeCase Plus version of the product offers additional features like data archive backup and recovery. The backuped data can be exchanged with the PC version of SafeCase. The PC version allows more convenient data entry and maintainance.

You can easily upgrade from the basic SafeCase to SafeCase Plus by purchasing its license and installing the SafeCase Plus on your device. All your old data is still available.
