SafeCase PC: installation on personal computer with Windows operating system

SafeCase is an application for mobile phones and personal computers managing in a secure way secret and private informations like credit and bank card data, bank account data, passwords, PINs, transaction codes, web and email account access data etc.

SafeCase is developed in programming language Java.

SafeCase installation pack for PC with Windows installed  consists of 1 installation file:

• MSI file ( safecase.msi ) - containing the complete application installation

SafeCase installation procedure is similar to other MSI packaged applications.

Installation procedure of SafeCase PC

First of all please download the installation file safecase.msi. This file is quite big ( ca. 62 MB ) and its download can take a while. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, downloading this file automatically may start the installation procedure. With other internet browsers ( Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc. ) you may first download and save safecase.msi file and then start the installation procedure by double clicking the saved safecase.msi file.

After being started, the installation procedure is straightforward. Depending on version, the installer may ask you to specify the working folder for the SafeCase data archives. The SafeCase PC application itself will be installed in standard Windows application folders. A new SafeCase PC menu entry is added to the Windows main programs menu and a desktop icon is placed on your desktop.

To start SafeCase PC select SafeCase PC menu item in the Windows program menu or double click on the SafeCase PC desktop icon.

While starting first time, SafeCase may ask you to define and confirm your access login name and your password. Please remember this password for later use !

Installation of new versions and updates of SafeCase

The installed SafeCase PC contains code taking care of checking for new updates. If you allow this mechanism, SafeCase PC will look each 14 days for new updates. If a new version update is available, you are asked to decide, whether the new update should be installed.
